  Housing Programs

 

Affordable housing is a significant concern for low- and moderate-income families living in the City of Warren. Through the CDBG and HOME programs, as well as other federal, state and local resources, the Community Development Department seeks to provide housing programs that will benefit those residents most in need.  The programs that follow are currently administered by department staff.

 

HOMEOWNERSHIP LOAN

The City of Warren Homeownership Loan program provides income-eligible residents with up to $5,000 ($7,500 in Target Area neighborhoods) which can be applied towards down payment and/or closing costs.

HOUSING REHABILITATION

The City of Warren Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation program provides income-eligible single-family homeowners with up to $25,000 to upgrade and improve their property, in order to rehabilitate city residences and revitalize local neighborhoods.

EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR

The City of Warren Emergency Home Repair program provides up to $4,000 per residence to alleviate immediate threats to the health and safety of low-income city residents.
