How much trash can I leave out in my front yard?
Two cubic yards. For example, two cubic yards
could be a toter, couch
and 10 bags. Beyond that, charges
are an additional $54.00 per two
cubic
yards.
What if I want to dispose of an appliance?
The Environmental Services Department
will collect appliances for a fee of $15.00, or you can bring
them to the department at no charge. Please contact the Environmental Services offices to make arrangements prior to placing
any appliance at the curb.
What if I need a second toter?
There is a one-time user fee per extra toter,
at $50.00. If you require a second toter, please contact our office
at 330.841.2561.
Do I receive a bill from the environmental services department?
No, charges appear on your monthly water bill.
If I am going on vacation, should I contact you to skip my service?
If you will be on vacation for two months or longer, you should contact the
Environmental Services office and your account will not be
billed. A $5.50
fee to stop service, and a $5.50 fee to resume service.
What should I do with my Christmas Tree?
The City of Warren and the Solid Waste District sponsor a joint Christmas
Tree Recycling Program each
year. Each resident is asked to bring the tree
to the parking area adjacent to the Packard Musical Hall and Packard Museum. The city will
NOT pick up Christmas Trees while the program is in effect. Once the recycling program is
complete, the Environmental Services Department will begin
collecting trees; however, all residents are encouraged to
recycle trees each year.
What if I have more trash than will fit in the toter?
Additional trash may be placed curbside as long as it
is placed in another container at least 50 gallons in size.
If you usually generate additional trash a second toter can
be requested for your convenience.
What
should I do with my tree trimmings?
Tree limbs should be cut in
3 foot lengths or less and tied in bundles Each bundle
should weigh less than 35 pounds. Limb size is limited
to 2 inches in diameter.
When
am I permitted to put my trash out and when am I required to bring my toter
in from the curb?
You are permitted to place your toter
along the curb the evening before
and the toter should be
removed no later than 12 hours after trash collection.
What if I can't roll my toter to the curb?
Disability service is available
through the City of Warren. In order to qualify for
this service, you must be physically unable to move the
toters to the curb and you must live alone or with another
disabled person. It must be completed and
signed by the person whose name is on the water utility
account. It must be signed by a physician licensed to
practice medicine in the United States in order to verify
the disability. The completed form can be faxed or
mailed to our office for review. If the application is
approved, your sanitation worker will walk up to the house
to get and return your toter.
