RIVERWALK PROJECT

  Riverwalk-Amphitheatre Campus

The Riverwalk, Warren Community Amphitheatre, and Kinsman House grounds are the foundation of the city's comprehensive strategy to stimulate economic and community development in downtown Warren. Through the preservation of existing structures and the planned development of new facilities, these community resources will coordinate recreation, historic preservation, and cultural opportunities for residents and visitors.

The exterior restoration of the Kinsman House and Land Office is complete. This $500,000 project included extensive restoration work to both structures: foundation, masonry, siding, and window restoration, repair of porches and bays, as well as a return to historic color schemes and the replacement of historic sandstone sidewalks.

Since 2004, the Warren Community Amphitheater has played host to a wide variety    of entertainment programs throughout the summer months.

In 2006, over $600,000 was invested in the construction of    the Riverwalk Stagehouse,      truly the crown jewel in this  spectacular public project.

As development progresses,

the Riverwalk will be a strategic component of the Great Ohio

Lake-to-River Greenway Trail,

and a segment of other existing

ped-bike trails along natural waterways and abandoned

railroad corridors throughout

the state of Ohio.
