Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program
The City of Warren is designated by the federal government as an entitlement community. CDBG funds are received from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide for the needs of the low- to moderate-income individuals and underserved population of the community by assisting with economic development activities, neighborhood revitalization through capital improvements and emergency repair programs, and public service programs (homeless support, youth services, elderly services, transportation programs, etc.) through local government and non-profit organizations.
Eligible Non-profit Organizations in Warren that provide services (assistance to the elderly, youth, homeless, etc.) to Warren City residents can receive grant funds; for more information on eligibility requirements and the application process, contact Susan D. Johnson, Program Specialist, at (330) 841-2563.
