KSU Students Get Tour to Help Plan New Housing in Warren

A group of Kent State University architecture students is embarking on a quest to devise ways to revitalize a long-neglected area of the city.

Sixteen students and William T. Willoughby, associate professor at KSU’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design, toured the Southwest Neighborhood of the city’s 6th Ward on Monday.

The idea is for them to develop plans for new, affordable housing in that area, bordered by the Mahoning River and Tod Avenue (State Route 45)
